Biology Track Specific Degree Requirements

Students will obtain a non-thesis Master of Science degree through a combination of course work in scientific content areas and education, and optional research projects.  Degree requirements consist of 36 units of course work.  No more than nine units may be taken at the 500 level.  No more than one elective course outside the discipline content area will be counted toward the degree. Approval of the graduate director will be required before taking such an elective.

Students may earn credits for participation in optional research projects (BIOL 701 Non-Thesis Laboratory Research) and will be encouraged to do so with faculty at Towson University or through an external internship opportunity.
