Towson University Community Dance is an extension of the Department of Dance.

Its mission reflects the department’s mission of advocating “Dancing for a Lifetime.”

The comprehensive curriculum, renowned faculty and highly trained instructors offer excellence in dance education for children, adults and professionals.

These three distinct programs – Children’s Dance, Adult Dance and Professional Collaborative Partnerships – greatly contribute to the growth of artists in the state of Maryland.

Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD), the TU Community Dance program promotes an appreciation of the aesthetics of dance as an art form. It offers dance movers, educators and enthusiasts a stimulating and inviting environment to develop their technical excellence and deepen their artistic voice through a multifaceted curriculum.
