A native of Poughkeepsie, New York, Analiese Umana studied at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase and graduated in 2012 with a BFA in Dance/Performance. She is currently dancing with the Baltimore Ballet as a Soloist. Analiese performed in the Merce Cunningham Project in 2011 and excerpts from Mark Morris' Grand Duo in 2012. Analiese has had the opportunity to work with Stephen Rooks, (choreographer and former Martha Graham principal dancer), who set her solo, Soweto, an excerpt from his piece Griot. For the past three summers Analiese has worked for The American Academy of Ballet, as Executive Coordinator, and faculty. Analiese was chosen to attend many Intensives/Programs with world renown teachers and dance companies such as Ballet Hispanico, American Ballet Theater, New York Summer School of the Arts, the American Academy of Ballet and the Martha Graham School of Dance Winter Intensives.
