Zak Fusciello is a Baltimore-based drummer, percussionist and teacher. He works as a modern dance accompanist for Towson University, Goucher College, and UMBC and co-teaches the Music for Dance class at Towson University with Vincent Thomas . He has also had the honor of composing and/or performing for choreographers and dance companies such as Geoffrey Holder, Omo Ache, ClancyWorks and Jaye Knutson, among others.  In 2002 Zak had the pleasure of studying traditional folkloric drumming in Havana and Mantanzas, Cuba.

Zak performs and records with The Swingin’ Swamis (cited by Baltimore Magazine as “one of the area’s premier  party bands”), Moss Icon (one of “23 Most Influential Punk Bands”- Alternative Press Magazine), The Baltimore Afrobeat Society (voted “Best Tribute Act” by Baltimore City Paper) and Palpazione Percussion Ensemble.  He can also be found teaching at the Baltimore School for Drumming.  Although he enjoys performing and teaching, Zak’s most challenging gig was as a photo-double stunt-driver for the major motion picture, Enemy of the State.
