A
charitable remainder trust is a gift instrument whereby property
is irrevocably transferred into a trust. The donor receives certain
tax benefits in addition to creating an income stream for him/herself
and/or others named in the trust document. Upon termination of the
trust, the remainder interest will be used by Towson University
Foundation, Inc. as specified by the donor.
Donors who establish charitable remainder trusts are eligible for membership
in Towson's Tower Light Society.
