GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Towson University provides students with a rich tradition of knowledge, an array of skills, a nurturing environment and an attractive campus on which to study and live.
The university is state assisted, not state supported. Yet it strives to ensure that each student possesses the fiscal resources to navigate through the maze of increasing costs associated with attending college. Scholarships and aid allow some students the freedom to pursue their studies with an energy and optimism unburdened by financial pressures. Too many students, however, are increasingly finding higher education beyond their grasp. Only with private support can Towson keep tuition affordable, attract the most promising students and keep the community inclusive and diverse.
By the year 2010, one in eight graduates from a Maryland state university will receive a bachelor’s or master’s degree from Towson. Make sure their education is not hampered by rising tuition or antiquated facilities. Make sure the next generation can flourish and become the teachers, nurses, occupational therapists, accountants and other professionals who will be the caretakers of the world’s future. Invest in the growing minds of Towson University students.
