The stone and stucco mansion, considered an important example
of ItalianateFederal architecture, was built by Charles
Ridgely in 1790. Located near the Towson Center, Auburn House
welcomes visitors with oldfashioned charm, from its
grand foyer with graceful chandeliers above, to Martha's Pub
in the stone cellar below. Fondly known as the Alumni House,
Auburn is also used for alumni events, pregame receptions,
reunions, weddings and private parties.
Alumni, parents, students and friends can pave their place
in Towson University's history by purchasing an engraved brick
for the Auburn House that will be placed in the front walkway,
and the side and back patios of the house. When you participate
in the "Brick By Brick" program, your name will become part
of Towson University's campus and history. It is a permanent
way to show your Tiger pride. Bricks will be engraved with
information you provide (name, class year, etc.) $100
