Towson University raised over $50,000 with a fundraiser packed full of fun. The evening’s main attraction was the tournament, in which players competed in three 1-hour rounds of Towsonopoly – a custom Monopoly-inspired game featuring TU campus properties. The tournament champion, Heather Chism ’00, was awarded a grand prize of 100,000 Marriott Reward Points. Other activities included a silent auction, casino games, dinner and live entertainment. The event was co-chaired by Dr. Robert L. Caret & Elizabeth Zoltan. Event proceeds benefit Towson's Willard Hackerman Academy of Mathematics & Science – an outreach program designed to attract more students into science, technology, engineering, and math careers and provide advanced training for STEM educators.
