Overview

This innovative fund-raiser combines the legacy of fun competitive spirit with a silent auction, casino games, cocktails and dinner, and the highlight of the evening – the dramatic Towsonopoly Tournament!

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a Welcome Reception in the Shareholders Lounge. Tournament players and guests will check-in before mingling and enjoying wine, champagne, passed hors d'oeuvres and the smooth sounds of the Dennis Fisher Jazz Band. At 5:45, the Master of Ceremonies will provide tournament guidelines and declare "let the games begin!"

At 6 p.m. Round One of the Towsonopoly Tournament will begin and guests can choose between cheering on their favorite player, exploring the exciting silent auction offerings, trying their luck at the casino games, or just hanging out in the Bull Market Lounge and enjoying the entertainment.

During Round One, 64 players will compete (16 tables of 4) for a total of 60 minutes. When time is called, the player at each table with the most assets (cash and property) will be declared the winner and will move on to compete in Round Two after dinner.

Following the wheeling and dealing of Round One, a gourmet dinner will be served in the Wall Street Ballroom. Everyone will enjoy the finest cuisine while players compare mergers, bankruptcies, mortgages and stints in academic probation!

Festivities will continue after dinner with the 16 winners from Round One (4 tables of 4) returning to compete in Round Two for 60 minutes. Guests may continue to watch the tournament or taste cupcakes and cordials in the Bull Market Lounge. At the end of Round Two, only 4 finalists will remain.

Suspense builds as the Final Round begins. You won't want to miss the excitement as the competition heats up and the champion is revealed! Following the Final Round, the grand prize will be awarded to the Tournament Champion.

Grand Prize: 100,000 Marriott Points.
