Towson University leads economic, educational and societal change
through our mission of teaching, research and public service. As
Maryland's metropolitan university, we educate a broad cross-section
of society, giving them the tools they need to become the next generation
of leaders.
Yet, increasingly, our ability to provide these tools is challenged
by growing enrollments, eroding state support and increasing tuition
costs. Our enrollment must jump from 17,600 to 20,000 students by
2010 as we follow our mandate to make public education accessible
for qualified students who desire to continue their educations.
Yet, only one third of our operating budget is derived from state
revenues. Our mandate to provide public education for every student
with the ability and the desire to attend has never been more vital
or more worthy of your support.
Your contributions to Towson University will assure students the
best education from outstanding educators at a premiere institution
with regional impact and national recognition.

Molly Shock established the Stephen K. Shock Memorial
Scholarship Endowment to honor her late husband. Business
administration students who exhibit merit and need are
eligible for the scholarship.
