
Bio
Raft Woodus serves as Director of Student Success Programs. He is responsible for the Community Enrichment and Enhancement Partnership (CEEP) Award Program and the Students Achieve Goals through Education (SAGE) Program. Both programs encourage students, from diverse backgrounds, to succeed in the classroom and involve themselves in campus-wide activities and organizations. Raft has been a staff member at Towson University since October 1979. During his tenure, he has also served as Director of the Tutorial Services Center, Director of the Disability Support Services Center, Director of the Testing Services Center, and Director of the Commuter Affairs Office. Prior to Towson, Raft served as staff counselor at the North Baltimore Center, Inc., where he provided mental health care services for children and adults.
In 1977, Raft graduated from TU with a B.S. in Psychology – Clinical Concentration. He earned a MSW in Clinical and Administration Concentrations from the University of Maryland – Baltimore in 1984. Raft is a licensed graduate social worker, a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and is a member of the President's Leadership Institute. He has completed a certificate program in basic mediation. Raft enjoys spending time with family, gardening, exercise, fishing, civic engagement and church involvement, music and serving as an advisor for student organizations.
