Community Enrichment & Enhancement Partnership Award
The Community Enrichment and Enhancement Partnership Award (CEEP) is administered by Towson University's
Center for Student Diversity (CSD). CEEP (pronounced KEEP) is designed to increase the access and success of culturally diverse and traditionally under-served undergraduate students.
Purpose
- To foster an environment that appreciates and values an increasingly diverse student body
- To increase the recruitment, retention, and graduation of underrepresented students
- To develop student interest, involvement, and leadership in community-building initiatives
Award Amount
Recipients of the CEEP Award are granted between $1,000 - $4,000 per year. The award may be renewed for up to four
(4) years.
Student Agreement
Eligibility Criteria
Although the CEEP Award traditionally has emphasized racial and ethnic diversity, other socio-cultural factors, including age, disability, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender and socio-economic status may be considered. Students must be U.S. citizens, full-time undergraduates, with at least a 2.50 cumulative quality point average (QPA), and at least two semesters away
from graduation. In addition, students must meet a minimum of three of the following criteria:
- First generation college student
- From an environment or academic setting that may have hindered educational pursuits
- From a single parent household
- Be a member of an under-served group
- Have overcome personal, social and/or physical obstacles in pursuit of an education

Application Process
- Applications are available March 15 in CSD, University Union, Room 313.
- Complete the application, return it to CSD, and arrange an interview with the Assistant Vice President for Diversity or his designee. The interview provides an opportunity to elaborate on the application and to negotiate the details of a contract of involvement.
- The student's application, contract, quality point average and financial aid stats will all be considered in the selection process.
- Grants to new applicants are awarded by the Assistant Vice President or his designee and
may be reviewed by the Vice President of Student Affairs.
- Renewals are handled by the program coordinator and reviewed by the Assistant Vice President.
- Appeals will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Request for special consideration should be directed to the Assistant Vice President, Art King. The next level of review is the Vice President of Student Affairs, Deb Moriarty.
Renewals
Students must reapply annually. Application forms are available in University Union, Room 313 from March 15 through April 15 or on the web at CEEP Application Form. Students who fulfill all the requirements of the award may have their grants renewed.
