Nancy "Ale" Jaramillo is a graduate assistant in the Women’s Center. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Community Health at TU. Born in Ecuador, Ale received her bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from The Pontifical Catholic University in Quito. In her country, she worked in many volunteer organizations developing and implementing programs for the less fortunate, especially women and children. In addition, she served in hospitals and medical centers providing education and advice on nutrition and helped to develop individual menus based on diseases and people’s requirements. In the Women’s Center, Ale assists with the development and coordination of projects and activities to enhance leadership skills, particularly for female students on campus. She also assists volunteers with the implementation and execution program initiatives. In her spare time, Ale enjoys painting on fabric and canvas, dancing salsa and merengue, and making different sorts of crafts for family and friends.
