Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. -  Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Location

The Health Center is conveniently located in Dowell Hall across from the Newell Den, Linthicum Hall and close to Cook Library, Ward and West Halls, and the Residence Tower.

Who May Use Dowell Health Center

All registered Towson University students are eligible to use the Health Center. Exchange students and other visitors may use the services while in residence at Towson but will be charged special fees. Faculty and staff are eligible for immunization services. Job-related injuries or emergencies will be stabilized and referred to off-campus medical care. Student day-care participants will be assessed for injuries or illness and referred to appropriate off-campus medical care.

Mission of the Student Health Service at Dowell Health Center

Our mission is to enhance students' ability to participate fully in opportunities for learning and personal development at Towson University by addressing students' immediate health care needs, promoting wellness and responsible health behavior, and helping students learn to take an active and proactive role in their own health and health care. Our goal is to provide accessible, high quality primary care services, including health promotion and education, in a caring environment that respects students' dignity, diversity, and privacy.

Confidentiality

The Health Center complies with federal and state laws regarding the confidentiality and security of medical records, including HIPAA. No information concerning a patient's health or health care will be released to anyone, including parents, without the patient's knowledge and consent, except as required by law or described in our HIPAA-compliant "Notice of Privacy Practices".
