Dowell Health Center

The Dowell Health Center provides health and wellness services for registered Towson University students and English Language Center students. Faculty and staff are eligible for immunization services. The health center is conveniently located in Dowell Hall, across from the College of Liberal Arts Building and down the hill from the Counseling Center.

Appointments

Business Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Closed Saturday and Sunday, university holidays

Most types of appointments may be scheduled online through our secure web portal. Students can also view/print out their immunization record, see their account balance and send our staff secure messages through this portal.

To access the portal, click on Doc below or go to  http://mydowellhealth.towson.edu. Log in with your Towson NetID login/password. Follow instructions for forms completion and appointment scheduling.

Mission of the Student Health Service at Dowell Health Center

Our mission is to enhance students' ability to participate fully in opportunities for learning and personal development at Towson University by addressing students' immediate health care needs, promoting wellness and responsible health behavior, and helping students learn to take an active and proactive role in their own health and health care. Our goal is to provide accessible, high quality primary care services, including health promotion and education, in a caring environment that respects students' dignity, diversity, and privacy.

Confidentiality

The Health Center complies with federal and state laws regarding the confidentiality and security of medical records, including HIPAA. No information concerning a patient's health or health care will be released to anyone, including parents, without the patient's knowledge and consent, except as required by law or described in our HIPAA-compliant "Notice of Privacy Practices."
