The English Language Center offers short term courses for those who require specialized language training for employment or related special needs. These courses range from eight to 13 weeks and are designed to focus on a particular language skill. Au pairs, visiting professor spouses, or anyone in the community can enroll and benefit from these courses. Contact the ELC for specific course information and costs. To apply, legal residents and visitors on J, B, or H visas should complete the first two pages of the application. F-1 students may take one of these classes in addition to their regular program courses. Financial documents are not necessary.

TOEFL Preparation classes are offered on Tues. and Thurs. each semester from 6:30-9:00. Cost: $625; $50 application fee; NO activities fees; prepares students for the new iBT. Paper based TOEFL test not included.
