ELC PROGRAMS

TOEFL Preparation

For students preparing for university admission, the ELC offers a TOEFL Preparation Course. The course is given several times a year and is open to students enrolled in ELC courses as well as to others interested in intensive TOEFL preparation. The course includes 40 hours of instruction during which students focus on in depth study of the reading, listening, and grammar components of the TOEFL examination. Practice includes using the new iBT TOEFL examination, and students take an institutional TOEFL examination at the end of the course. The institutional TOEFL score may be submitted by those students seeking admission to Towson University or the University of Baltimore. TOEFL courses begin in early September, early February, and late May each year.
