Wesleyan University (B.A.) AccomplishmentsPeter Lev has been a professor at Towson University since 1983, and has taught more than twenty different undergraduate and graduate courses during that period. He is one of the founding members of the Electronic Media and Film department, along with Barry Moore, Greg Faller, John MacKerron, John Turner, and the late Bill Horne. His special interests are American and European film history. He has written four books of film history and has coedited one book on film adaptations. A sixth book, Twentieth Century Fox, the Zanuck-Skouras Years 1935-1965, will be published by University of Texas Press in early 2013. Dr. Lev received an Academy Scholars grant from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the Twentieth Century-Fox project. He has also received the Distinguished Service Award from Towson University and the Jim Welsh Award for Excellence in Adaptation Studies. Dr. Lev is currently the Secretary of the Literature/Film Association. He has hosted six meetings of the Literature/Film Association on the Towson University campus.
