Peter Lev

Peter Lev is Professor of Electronic Media and Film at Towson University. He is the author or editor of five books of film history and criticism, most recently The Literature/Film Reader (Scarecrow Press, 2007) and Transforming the Screen: The Fifties, History of the American Cinema series vol.7 (paperback from University of California Press, 2006; hardback from Scribner’s, 2003). He teaches a variety of EMF and Cultural Studies courses, including History of Film: Aesthetics of Film and Electronic Media; Principles of Film and Media Production; International Cinema; Visual Culture; and Performance Culture. Dr. Lev has delivered conference papers in Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Bath (UK), Leicester (UK), Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver, plus thirty more in the United States
