Summer Trimester 2013 takes place from May 29 through August 3, with five-, seven- and 10-week summer session options. The Department of Electronic Media and Film is offering a variety of courses during Summer Trimester 2013 open to transfer students, students who are changing majors, Pre-EMF and EMF majors. All three core courses for the EMF major will be offered. These core courses are also the screening courses that help to determine eligibility for full EMF major status. In addition, the department is offering courses that will allow students to get a head start on some of their other required track courses.
Why take classes during Summer Trimester?
Prerequisite lower level courses required for the major are available.
If you’re entering the major later in your academic career, you can take courses that will allow you to graduate within a reasonable time-frame
An EMF department trimester adviser is available to meet with you and answer questions beginning in spring 2013 and through the summers and subsequent semesters.
It’s an opportunity to balance your academic program and internships if you’re taking a heavy course load.
Eligibility for the Trimester Program and Applying to the Program
Transfer students, new pre-EMF majors, and current EMF students are all eligible to participate in Summer Trimester. “Core Courses” have no prerequisites. Please consult the course prerequisites for the other “Required and Elective Courses.”
