Bio Christopher D’Addario received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis (2004). He studies and teaches early modern English literature. He is the author of several articles as well as the book Exile and Journey in Seventeenth-Century Literature (Cambridge University Press, 2007). His most recent essays, forthcoming, are on the exile of the Royalist poet Abraham Cowley and on personal affront and distrust in John Milton’s early writings. He is also working on a new book-length project investigating the aesthetics of everyday life, the mundane and boredom in seventeenth-century England.
