The major in Environmental Science and Studies with an Informal Environmental Education track requires 77-81 units. Students select this track if their interest is educating the public, especially children, about the environment. This major prepares graduates to help the public appreciate the importance of our natural systems and understand the threats these systems face. Students completing this track are prepared for positions as park naturalist/educators working in federal, state and local parks as well as careers educating the public in the private sector.
