Who would have thought taxes could be so, well, hot?

Since taking over as host for the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation Web site, RESI increased traffic on the site from 30,000 to more than six million per month. Visitors flocked to the site after RESI staff redesigned its applications and re-engineered its server and load-balancing bandwidth to create a responsive, comprehensive statewide resource for property assessment and tax data. It's now Maryland's most widely used government Web site and the winner of a 1999 Best of Baltimore award.
