The lax approach
Baltimore Business Journal, April 7
Thomas Rhoads, Department of Economics, spoke with staff writer Craig Ey about lackluster ticket sales for the Bayhawks, Baltimore's Major League Lacrosse franchise, which plays to loyal but small crowds at Johnny Unitas® Stadium. He explained that the Bayhawks compete against established summer sports teams, such as the Orioles, as well as highly popular college and high school lacrosse games. Rhoads said that aggressive marketing is the solution. "You have to get people to think they're missing something important if they don't go to the games."
