Eclectic mix of dance forms to be performed at Stephens Hall
What? The Towson University Dance Company presents works by faculty members Vincent Thomas and Sandra Perez, student choreographers Marlita Hill and Samantha Harvey, and guest choreographers Chris Elam and Carlos Danaam. Contemporary, modern, ballet and traditional dance forms will be
performed in costume with dramatic music and lighting.
When? Friday, April 18, 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.; Saturday, April 19, 8 p.m.;
and Sunday, April 20, 2 p.m. Note: A special preview performance has been added
for Wednesday, April 16, 7 p.m. Admission is free for the April 16 performance only.

Why Cheney was right: Polls shouldn't make policy

In his op-ed piece, Richard E. Vatz, Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies, agreed with Vice President Cheney's assertion that the president cannot make judgments based upon what the polls say. Vatz argued that "There is a difference between what the American people think and what public opinion polls say they think" and pointed out the reasons why, in his view, public opinion polling should not dictate ongoing war policy.
Lenders drop out of student loan market

In view of the squeeze on student lending , Vince Pecora, Finanical Aid, advised parents evaluating financial aid packages this spring to avoid delay in determining how much they need to borrow. "Typically families wait longer than we would like to assess the amount of additioinal assistance" they will need, Pecora told AP reoprter Marcy Gordon. Forty-six student lenders have stopped making federally guaranteed student loans, either temporarily or permanently.
