Steven Phillips, Department of History, spoke to Greg Robb about Chinese President Hu Jintao’s visit to the United States, which has been postponed by the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Phillips called China’s currency move and aircraft purchases, “just a bunch of little policies to try to keep the fires from burning out of control.”
