Andrew Reiner, English, published an article in the current issue of AARP magazine. "Brand New Me" combines personal essay and reportage to explore the question: Just how important is self branding and social networking to on-the-job success in the digital age?

Patricia Hrusa Williams and Audrey Falk, Family Studies and Community Development, published ‘Service Learning and Millennial Students: Benefits and Challenges to a Team-Based Approach’ in Professional Development: The International Journal of Continuing Social Work Education, 13(3), 16-24.

Diane Scharper, English, reviewed Ardency by Kevin Young in the Feb. 1 issue of Library Journal. A National Book Award finalist, Young retells the story of the Amistad rebels in poetry. The highly recommended book (starred review) is an "eloquent examination of slavery as it's felt in the human soul."

Gary Shockey, German/Foreign Languages, had a proceedings paper published in “Intertextuality, Reception, and Performance: Interpretations and Texts of Medieval German Literature (Kalamazoo Papers 2007-2009)” titled: “Vrümecheit unt Spil: Symbols of Iconoclastic ‘moraliteit’ in Stricker’s ‘Die Martinsnacht’ and ‘Die eingemauerte Frau’” (Göppinger Arbeiten zur Germanistik, Nr. 758).
