Athletics Academic Support
 

Coaches and trainers aren’t the only ones contributing to TU student-athletes’ successes.

The five-member Athletics Academic Support Unit pitches in behind the scenes to provide leadership, supervision, monitoring, advising, counseling, tutors and other services—all within the framework of university, departmental and athletics’ regulations and resources.

Academic support staff play a crucial role in keeping student-athletes---about 500 participating in 20 intercollegiate sports—focused on their studies and progressing toward graduation.

The staff’s efforts are reflected in NCAA reports showing that TU’s student-athletes graduate at rates significantly higher than the rest of the student body.
