Study Abroad: where they went

In 2007-08 the Study Abroad Office enabled more than 400 TU students (and 147 others) to gain off-campus academic experiences through study outside the United States. The office administers eight TU study-abroad programs, 15 exchanges in nine countries, plus 15 to 20 short-term faculty-led programs per year.

TU students also study abroad on non-TU programs.

Between academic years 2000-01 and 2007-08, student participation in study-abroad programs at TU rose by 158 percent.

While Italy and the United Kingdom remain popular choices, TU study-abroad participants also traveled to many other countries, including Australia, South Africa and Peru.
