UMS chancellor to deliver lecture

William E. Kirwan to focus on STEM imperative

TU's 2009 CoSMiC (Computer, Science and Mathematics Stars in College) Lecture will feature University System of Maryland Chancellor William E. Kirwan.

The lecture, titled "The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Imperative: Securing our Future in the Global Economy," will be presented on Apr. 15 at
7 p.m. in Smith Hall 356.

A reception with light refreshments will follow the lecture. The event is free and open to the public.

William (Brit) Kirwan is the third chancellor of the University System of Maryland. He is a nationally recognized authority on critical issues shaping the higher education landscape.
