Don't wait! Spaces still available for Summer Art Camp at TU

Faculty, staff receive tuition discount

Openings are still available for the Community Art Center (CAC) Summer Art Camp, held June 21–August 6, with three two-week sessions and a one-week session.

TU faculty and staff receive a 15 percent discount on camp tuition.

Summer Art Camp at the Community Art Center offers a variety of opportunities for children ages 6 to 14 to create, explore and learn about art. Summer Art Camp includes workshops on drawing, sculpture, painting, clay and mixed media, taught by professional artists and art teachers.

Students attend two two-hour art classes in both 2-D and 3-D media each day. The first week of each two-week session features museum visits with special group tours. Students in sessions I, II and III will enjoy daily swim time at the university's indoor pool (Mon.–-Wed.).

Note: Swimming will not be available in session IV. For session IV, planned afternoon activities include guest performers, artists and teachers who will engage students in exciting projects and special events. (Weather permitting, outdoor recreational activities will be included.) An exhibition and reception featuring student artwork created during camp is held the last Friday of each session.

Session I   June 21–-July 2
Session II   July 6–-July 16 (6–8 and 9–11 age groups are nearly filled)
Session III   July 19–30 (6–-8 age group is nearly filled)
Session IV   August 2–August 6 (6–-8 age group is nearly filled)
