Amalie Rothschild: A Retrospective View
Center for the Arts, Center for the Arts Gallery  through Saturday, June 16
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Baltimore painter, sculptor and printmaker Amalie Rothschild (1916-2001) produced over 1,500 works. Of these, 350 are in private collections and museums--including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Phillips Collection, the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Walters Art Museum. This exhibition is in conjunction with the publication of a book on her life and work, with essays by Amalie R. Rothschild, Angelo Pontecorboli, Nancy G. Heller, J. Susan Isaacs, Fred Lazarus IV, Herbert L. Kessler and Percy North. Admission is free.
