Aug. 15 memorial planned for Stanley Pollack, professor emeritus
Sculptor and designer helped found TU's Asian Arts & Culture Center
Stanley Pollack, professor emeritus of art education and former department chair, died July 21 at his Glen Arm, Md., home after a short illness. He was 88.
Professor Pollack was a sculptor and designer who helped found TU's Asian Arts & Culture Center.
He was the loving and devoted husband of Jean Pollack, TU professor emerita; beloved father of Bry and Reece; dear brother of Arthur and his wife Jean; "Granpa Stan" to Heather Manley; and caring friend to Santos Serrano, his wife Marina and their son Edwin, who always made him smile.
A service in celebration of a long life well lived is planned for Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. in the Center for the Arts. Details are posted at Baltimore Ethical Society.
