October 4 commencement honors first graduates
The TU Executive MBA Program, offered in partnership between the UB/Towson MBA and the University of Lodz Polish-American Management Center, has been ranked second in all of Poland by Wprost magazine. The Wprost ranking is among the most prestigious programs can receive in Poland. Valued for being one of the most objective and valuable sources of information, the Wprost rating is taken into consideration when Polish professionals select MBA programs. The program's first 19 graduates were honored at a commencement ceremony in Poland on October 4. Among families, friends and administrators in attendance were Jolanta Chelminska, governor of the Lodz region in Poland, and Jaroslaw Wojcieszek, vice president of the City of Lodz. The Executive MBA Program strongly emphasizes teamwork, international case studies, professional business applications and simulation games. Students who complete it receive an MBA diploma from Towson University and the University of Baltimore, a program certificate from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and a post-graduate studies diploma for the Executive MBA program from the University of Lodz. Established in Fall 2006, the Executive MBA Program is taught entirely in English, primarily by American faculty members and business executives from international and regional companies and institutions in Poland. The University of Maryland, College Park Robert H. Smith School of Business also serves as an affiliate.
