Rodney Stump, Marketing and e-Business, W. Gong and Z. Li had their peer-reviewed article, "Exploring the Digital Divide in Mobile Phone Adoption Levels Across Countries: Do Population Socio-Economic Traits Operate in the Same Manner as Their Individual-Level Demographic Counterparts?" acecpted for publication in Journal of Macromarketing.

College of Fine Arts and Communication

James Condron, Art + Design, Art History, Art Education, had a solo show of paintings at the Hermitage Foundation Museum in Norfolk, Va., July 25-September 5. He also had paintings acquired for the permanent collections of The Watkins Collection of the American University and The Lewis Glassman Gallery of University College Cork, Ireland.

Richard Holt, Art + Design, Art History, Art Education, reports that ceramics faculty and students are developing a lower firing temperature for ceramic stoneware that will decrease firing time, thus decreasing fuel cost and wear and tear on kilns without compromising the quality of finished projects. Their target date is spring 2009.

Susan Isaacs, Art + Design, Art History, Art Education, curated an exhibition and authored an exhibition publication for events at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts (DCCA), Maryland Art Place (MAP) and Loyola University of Baltimore: "Fantastical Imaginings." The exhibition will travel to DCCA in November, December and January. It will be at MAP and Loyola in February and March.

College of Health Professions

Theresa Jackson, Health Science, and her class of aspiring health educators planned, organized and implemented the Healthy Me Health Fair at Dumbarton Middle School in Towson. This experiential learning tool provides TU students with real-world experience in preparation for community and school health teaching.

College of Liberal Arts

Jennifer Ballengee, English, has had an article, "Torture, Modern Experience, and Beauty in Poe's 'Pit and the Pendulum.'"
