Introducing Blackboard Content System

OTS is pleased to announce the addition of the Content Management System to the Towson Blackboard environment.

The Blackboard Content Management System will allow faculty to centralize their course materials for easy updating and deployment to students and other faculty.

Users can assign their content to personal, course or institutional access. The electronic portfolio features allow students to create a dynamic online presence to store and showcase their coursework.

The Content Management System will be available for all faculty on August 15. To gain early access, sign up for a Blackboard Content Management workshop at www.towson.edu/otstraining .

	Content System Overview This video tutorial will give users and overview of the Blackboard Content System
	Item Overview This document will show Instructors how to Add items to the LearnOnline Content System as well as modify the properties of those items.
	Editing an Item This document will show Instructors how to Edit items within the LearnOnline Content System.
	Copy/Move This document will show Instructors how to Copy and Move items to different locations within the LearnOnline Content System.
	WebDAV This document will show Instructors how to use the WebDAV (webfolder) feature of the LearnOnline Content System.
	Link Content This document will show instructors how to Link Content from the Content System to their Course Sites.
	Copy to Collection This document will show instructors how to copy files from their Course Sites to the Content System.
	Export Test/Survey Pool This document will show instructors how to copy Tests, Surveys, and Pools from their Course Sites to the Content System.
	Content Pass This document will show faculty how to create a Content Pass. This pass is sent via email to other users to grant them access to your content.
	Team Teaching This document will show faculty how to share folders for team teaching purposes.
	Portfolios Tutorial This video tutorial will help you with the creation and management of portfolios.
	Transitioning to the Content Collection System This video tutorial will show faculty how to migrate their current course materials to the Content Collection

	Link to a Library Collection Item This document will show faculty how to browse the Cook Library Content Collection resources and link them to their Course Sites
