Centers and programs in the Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics support our mission of promoting advanced study in the sciences and mathematics.
The Center for Mathematics and Science Education is the focal point for research efforts, curriculum development, teacher education, and pedagogical reform designed to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics, science and technology in grades K – 16.
The Women in Science Program seeks to enhance the enrollment and retention of female students in the sciences through interactive teaching methods and effective mentoring. An additional goal is to enhance recruitment, mentoring, retention and visibility of female faculty in the natural, social and health sciences, particularly in fields where women are underrepresented.
