Why Study Actuarial Science?

A degree in actuarial science and risk management opens doors to a world of career opportunities in the actuarial and financial professions. Graduates are in great demand by investment banks, insurance companies and brokerage houses to assess and manage financial risk.

The program gives you a solid background in mathematics, with additional courses in accounting, computer science, economics, finance and writing for business and industry. You’ll also receive preparation for the first five preliminary exams required to attain professional standing and admission to the Society of Actuaries.

The curriculum meets the requirements for and has been designated an advanced undergraduate program by both the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuary Society.

Our alumni work at organizations such as Nexus Risk Management, Aeon Consulting, T. Rowe Price, Social Security Administration, Transamerica and Vanguard Group.
