Advanced Internship Requirements and Approval Process
Students who complete FMST 397 with a grade of 'C' or higher are eligible to enroll in FMST 497 Advanced Internship in Family Studies. Students who are required to complete FMST 497 as part of their academic programs will be enrolled in the same section of FMST 397 Internship in Family and Human Services. Their FMST 397 instructor will review the FMST 497 application materials in class and provide guidance regarding site selection. Please note that students in the Services to Children and Youth Track cannot take FMST 497 as an elective unless special permission is given by the department chair.
