Student Organizations
The Department of Family Studies and Community Development sponsors two student organizations, the Towson University Student Council on Family Relations (TUSCFR) and the Towson University Student Association of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
TUSCFR is affiliated with the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) and focuses on issues relevant to families. The purpose of the organization is to provide students with opportunities to learn from others in the field, network with students with similar interests, gain experience in a variety of community and family settings, and make a difference. It is not necessary to be a major or minor in the department to join.
The members of the Towson University Student Association of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance all have an interest in nonprofit leadership. The purpose of the club is to prepare future leaders of the nonprofit sector and provide real life experience working with nonprofits while allowing students to make connections and network with knowledgeable leaders.
