Dr. Roberge received his doctorate in Geography from Arizona State University in 1999 and was hired later that year at Towson University. Since then, he has taught popular classes in Physical Geography, Soils and Vegetation, Geomorphology, and Environmental Hydrology. He has chaired five graduate thesis committees and serves as the Graduate Director for Geography and Environmental Planning.
In 2008, he created the Geomatics Academy with Dr. Linda Cooper and other faculty from CLA and the Fisher College. The Geomatics Academy is an after school college preparatory program for underserved high schools that teaches mathematics using geographic applications. Currently, Dr. Roberge is working with Dr. Michael McGuire in computer science to create “HydroCloud” an online distributed database and analytical data browser for hydrologic applications.
