Thank you for your interest in the High School Creative Writing Contest!
It is part of Grub Street's mission to promote creativity in the community surrounding Towson University. In the past, we have hosted an annual high school poetry competition. This year, we are happy to reinvent this contest to include a short story prize as well. We encourage all high school writers to submit their work!
Grub Street is a nationally recognized and award-winning college literary publication. Winners and exceptional contestants will have the opportunity to be published in our upcoming issue to gain exposure to their work.
There will be three poetry winners and one short story winner. First prize short story and poetry winners will receive $300 each. Second place poetry prize winner will receive $100 and third place poetry prize winner will receive $75. Additional prizes may be awarded depending on donations.
