We want Grub Street to be your voice just as much as it is ours.

It is your submissions that continue to make Grub Street possible. There is no limit to the number of submissions an individual can send. We only ask you do not send us the same submissions more than once per issue. For instance, please do not send the same poem to us twice while we are reviewing for the 2012 issue. We will be accepting submissions for the 2012 issue until January 31, 2012. If the following guidelines fail to be met for a submission, we will not consider the work for our magazine.

Submission Guidelines

Anyone is welcome to submit. We would prefer if you used the form below to send us your submissions. If this form is not supported by your web browser or if your attachment is over 10MB, please email your submission to grubstreet1952@gmail.com with the type of submission (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art) in the subject line.

Please limit submissions to five poems and two prose pieces per issue.

Please include your name (or pen name), a contact e-mail that is checked regularly, and a telephone number that we could easily reach you at.

Please limit your word documents to .doc and .docx files. (Note: if prose pieces are part of a larger work, they must be able to stand alone.)

Visual art should be at least 4x6 inches and sent as a .png, .raw or high-quality .jpeg file type with at least 300 dpi.

It is assumed all submissions are original creations. Please credit your sources. You will be notified on the status of your submission by spring 2012 at the latest. We look forward to receiving your work and wish you the best of luck in your literary and artistic endeavors.

Note: The form below is only for submissions for potential publication in the 2012 issue of Grub Street.
