Hackerman Academy Director Receives Awards from City of Baltimore

On May 2, 2008, Dr. Don Thomas received a special Certificate of Appreciation from Baltimore City Councilwoman Helen L. Holton from the 8th Council District in recognition for the service of the Hackerman Academy at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School during the 2007–2008 school year.

On June 6, 2008, Dr. Don Thomas received a Certificate of Recognition award from Mayor Shelia Dixon and the City of Baltimore in recognition of the initiatives put forward by the Hackerman Academy of Mathematics and Science in the Baltimore City Public Schools this past year. The award read in part “Your dedication to Baltimore City Public Schools is inspirational, and all that you do is sincerely appreciated.”
