The Health Center has a drug dispensary with a limited
formulary of commonly used medications, including prescription drugs,
certain contraceptives, and some over-the-counter medications.
Because we do not have a full pharmacy, it is not possible for
students to "transfer" prescriptions written by their personal M.D.
or another clinic. In order to purchase prescription medications
from us (including birth control pills), a student must be seen at
the Health Center by one of our medical providers who will prescribe
and dispense the medication. Since we are not a pharmacy we have no
way to bill medications through your insurance drug benefit
plan, so charges for medications will be billed to your bursar
account or can be paid for by check or TU OneCard retail points. You
may be able to submit the bill to your own drug plan for
reimbursement but you are responsible for payment.

If you have never been on prescription contraceptives before, you
will need to attend an informational contraceptive seminar by our
sexual health educator and then schedule an annual well woman GYN
exam with one of our medical providers. You must call the Health
Center at 410-704-2466 and press Option 3 to schedule these
appointments. Do not schedule an appointment online or prior to
attending the seminar.
