"Exiles’ Tango," the last song in Act I, is performed by all members of the cast, with choreographed movement to show the mass exodus of German artists and other well known figures in 1933. Lists of the names of these exiles are spoken out loud by actors over the music, while slide projections show individual pictures of them.
