Requirements for the Minor

To earn a minor in history at Towson University, students are required to complete 24 course units with a grade equivalent of 2.00 or higher in the following courses:

At least one course in pre-modern history

Pre-modern = history prior to 1500

At least two courses focusing on different geographic categories

6 units

Geographic Categories: U.S., Europe, global

At least three upper-division courses. These courses must focus on a minimum of two different geographic categories

9 units
