Mission and Vision

The Honors College at Towson University is designed for students who have demonstrated superior academic performance in high school, and who wish to pursue unique academic and social opportunities while attending the university. Students may major in any field at Towson University and be part of The Honors College. At Towson, The Honors College is a true community of scholars. Honors students are encouraged to seek intellectual excellence and leadership through opportunities that go beyond the routine college experience.

Mission

The Honors College at Towson University is committed to academic excellence in the education of its most highly qualified and motivated undergraduates by providing an enriched learning environment in which students develop their skills, cultivate their talents, and achieve excellence in academics, research, service, and individual development.

Vision

The Honors experience at Towson University is to support a creative learning environment in which students explore a greater understanding of course content, use complex critical and analytic thinking, and gain values of self and community to enhance leadership competencies within an intellectually demanding undergraduate curricular framework.
