Joining the Honors College

Congratulations on your admission to the Honors College at Towson University!

Our community of students, faculty, and staff are excited about meeting you in the fall. You clearly have an impressive academic record, and we hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities that we provide, including unique honors seminars, study abroad, conference presentations, and undergraduate research. In fact, why don’t you meet some of your friends in the Honors College now by joining the Towson University Honors College group on Facebook!

To accept your offer of admission to the Honors College, please follow these simple steps.

1. Return your Towson University Enrollment Contract by May 1, 2014.

2. Review the Honors College curricular and co-curricular requirements. Keep in mind that many honors courses also fulfill Core Curriculum requirements or even major requirements.

3. Review the Honors College Scholarship requirements.

4. Complete the Honors College online acceptance form by May 1, 2014. The link to the online form was included in the letter that offered you admission to the Honors College. You must complete the online acceptance form by May 1, 2014 to join the Honors College and receive your Honors College Scholarship.

5. Learn more about Honors Housing, and complete your Housing Request by May 1, 2014.

6. Request one or two honors courses on your Academic Interest Form.

We encourage you to ask a current student in the Honors College about their experience by sending an email to hclc@towson.edu. One of our students will answer your questions and also be able to connect you a current student who has similar academic interests.
