How to Join the Honors College

Congratulations on your admission to the Honors College at Towson University!

Our community of students, faculty, and staff are excited about meeting you in the fall. You clearly have an impressive academic record, and we hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities that we provide, including unique honors seminars, study abroad, conference presentations, and undergraduate research. In fact, why don’t you meet some of your friends in the Honors College now by joining “The Honors College” group on Facebook!

After you return your Towson University Enrollment Contract and your Honors College Enrollment Agreement . . .

1. Save the date! Plan to attend our free overnight Honors College Orientation on August 2 and 3. Meet your classmates and learn more about the Honors College experience.You will receive more information about Honors College Orientation by e-mail.

2. Review the Freshman To-Do List. Start by activating your NetID. The Honors College will begin communicating with you through your Towson University email account shortly after May 1.

3. Complete your Academic Interest Form. Honors College students are encouraged to list at least two fall honors courses on their Academic Interest form. Click here to review a complete list of Fall 2012 honors course offerings.

4. Consider taking a summer honors course. All summer honors course are available to incoming first-year students. Please contact honors@towson.edu if you are interested in taking a summer honors course.
