Sivan Chaban and Alison McCartney

Sivan Chaban ‘11, will be listed as a contributing author with Dr. Alison McCartney (Political Science) in a chapter of From Service-Learning to Civic and Political Engagement, a book to be published by the American Political Science Association in 2012.  The APSA is the premier professional organization for Political Science.  Dr. McCartney is the book's lead co-editor.  This is only the second book of this type published by the APSA.

Jeffry Bothe ’11, received the 2011 Regina Lightfoot Student Service Award.  Only one undergraduate student is selected by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to receive the award each year. 

Dr. Regina Lightfoot devoted her adult life to public service to young people whether it was through her church, numerous other volunteer activities or in the higher education field. Read more

As the only student representative on the Board of Regents, Sarah Elfreth '11 (political science major) worked to accurately represent 147,000 students as a full voting member of the Board to help to better the citizens and the state of Maryland.

Tommy Appel-Schumacher As the President of Proud Athletes Who Serve (P.A.W.S.), Tommy Appel-Schumacher '10 (business administration major) worked with the captains and leaders of the TU Division I varsity athletic teams to promote effective communication between the athletic department, administration, and Towson’s student athletes.
