About Us

The Department of Housing & Residence Life manages 15 co-ed residence halls on campus. These buildings range from modern high-rise towers and apartment complexes to two- and three-story traditional buildings. Residence Hall staff members live in each building and work with students to create a community atmosphere.

Central Office Staff: The central office staff is led by the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Housing & Residence Life, Jerry Dieringer. In addition, Ron Butler is the Director of Residence Life. Ron oversees the Residence Life program and supervises the Assistant Directors of Residence Life and the Graduate Assistant for the central office. Charlie Briddell is the Assistant Director for Housing and he supervises the Housing Facilities Assistant. Finally, Barb Neal is the Assistant Director for Business & Administrative Services.. She directly supervises the 4 full time office staff members. The central office staff provides administrative support for the entire department and provides assistance and services to students, parents, and the public.

Glen Complex Staff: Lisa Simmons is the Assistant Director of Residence Life for the Glen Complex. She supervises the 4 Residence Life Coordinators (RLC) for the Glen Towers: Tower A, B. C, and D. She also supervises the Graduate Assistant for Glen Complex. The Glen complex staff oversee all building functions from programming to handling judicial issues at the Glen area to make student on-campus living experience successful.

Towsontown Staff: Jayson Schablik is the Assistant Director of the Towsontown area. Jayson Schablik supervises the RLCs for Residence Tower, Richmond, Newell, Prettyman and Scarborough. He also supervises the Graduate Assistant of Towsontown Area and oversees all building functions from programming to handling judicial issues at the area to make student on-campus living experience successful.

West Village Staff: Donald Walker is the Assistant Director of Residence Life for the West Village Area. He supervises the RLC for Towson Run, Paca & Tubman House as well as the RLC for Millinium Hall. He also supervises the Graduate Assistant of the West Village Area. The West Village staff oversee all building functions from programming to handling judicial issues at the area to make student on-campus living experience successful.
