The Department of Housing & Residence Life manages 15 co-ed residence halls on campus. These buildings range from modern high-rise towers and apartment complexes to two- and three-story traditional buildings. Residence Hall staff members live in each building and work with students to create a community atmosphere.
The central office staff provides administrative support for the entire department and provides assistance and services to students, parents, and the public. Our central staff leadership includes the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Housing & Residence Life, Director of Residence Life, Assistant Director of Housing, Assistant Director of Business & Administrative Services, and the 3 Assistant Directors of Residence Life for each of our residential areas.
The operations of Housing and Residence Life Central Staff are further supported by the Housing Facilities staff, Housing IT staff, our finance associate and Administrative Assistants.
Under the direction of the Director of Residence Life, the Residence Life Staff oversee all building operations from engaging each resident to shape their own collegiate experience, handling conduct and behavioral issues, to providing leadership and learning opportunities to cultivate holistic student development.
Each of our three residential areas is supervised by an Assistant Director of Residence Life who works with an Area Graduate Assistant and building staff. Our Residence Life staff includes 13 Master's level Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) and 5 graduate student Assistant Coordinators (ACs). Building teams of RLCs and ACs supervise each Resident Advisor (RA) staff and oversee the community development and operations of each residence hall. We also work with the Graduate Assistant for International Students & Scholar Office in our Global Village Community.
